Well Newegg.com is sponsoring a Contest and they have had trouble getting good entries.
They extended their contest another month.   And I thought I had problems with contests.
Just look at all the prizes they have.........Drool........Droool....Droooooooool.
So I thought that I would post about their prizes, and their rules.

This month's challenge has a twist. We are going to raffle away a copy of Lightwave at the next meeting. Sponsored by NEWTEK.

Added the grit to the second ship.   Added in hypervoxals to the second ship.  Something seems amiss there though, no matter how high I make it, it doesn't seem to be coming out of the exhaust.  Fixed up the exhuast of the main ship.

IFD Scorpion from Daz3D space ship converted using CR2Loader plug-in.

Rendered in LW with Final Gather, background plate as imageworld plug-in image, exrtrader plug-in for exr output with layers built-in.

Composited in Fusion5.1 with some color correction and a little blur.

Toatl time=less than 2 hours start to end.

This is a shot of the Ark ship. It's really nice, comes out of the box with some lighting etc. I would say, it's ok.

Maybe I'll play with some hyper voxals, and see if I can get some exhaust going.

I think I have a space station object somewhere, maybe I can get that. I was thinking of throwing the sulaco in there with the guns blazing.

I relit it my way, (I know I know gmd, even after the last meeting. I'll use the occlusion plugin, and one point light. for the next wip. (If I do an animation, I'll definately get rid of the hdri, unless I buy a new computer.  Dan, where are those benchmarks?)
