So this meeting was cool
So this meeting was cool We went over The timewwarp plugin, which on the mac did not work at all. (Anybody with a mac, does the preview work?)
I had setup a demo but forgot to take out a plugin I was using. Polk tracker. I had thought unchecking it would of been ok, but bad news when loading up the demo. IN future attempts, I will delete any plugins from motion panel or wherever else, rather than simply unchecking them. If anyone else uses screamnet, I could not get TimeWarp to work with that. I ended up having to use f10 to render a sequence. The Preview did work for me. I'll try to record a video on how to use it. (time to haul out the free camstudio)
Mike was able to get some basic skelegons into a character he created. In layout he was able to move around his character abit.
I suggest for further review, these links here.

Forum topic: The Next Challenge 2008 Character Animation -Reference-
Also I suggest downloading the boosterik.zip I put in the filebrowser/character challenge
It includes all the movies, zipped rigs, etc.
Also watch william's rigging tutorial on the newtek website.
Next month I think we will explore the ikrig provided by http://ikboost.com/
So everyone, look at the rig, play with it, and we'll talk about at the next meeting.
Malissa was able to talk to us about her animations, and how she handled certain aspects.
Cool parts: The Giraffee, the caustics were added as a comp, the undersea particles were a comp, the little fish schools were boned. Everything was hand animated.
The Raffle will continue for the next meeting. I strongly belive that we should at least have some participation, anybody have any ideas. Please email me
or use this site's messenger feature.

Where are the animations submissions?
I haven't seen any submissions for the challenge yet, I hope someone is going to show some of their animations... doesn't matter how short or long it is, everyone would love to see what everyone is doing. I don't want to be the only one who has animations to show, I know someone else has something to show. So, come on guys... I can't win my own prize. You have to give me something to talk about on the 17th, hehe.div
