Hello everyone,

There will be a User Group Meeting  Thursday, August 13th.
Please arrive at 7:00 PM Our meeting will start at 7:30 pm.

Gmd has informed me that Ryota Suyama has will be our Guest Speaker, and will Talk about his work on Greenday and Beyonce. 

If Possible, please bring some images or animations for the group to discuss.

Our topic will be the Tips and Tricks, so please post any that you might have found, specifially in the 9.6 version of lightwave. GMD will be speaking about Green screen and getting your 3d elements into it.

Please share any tips, tricks, information, works in progress, etc. I'm also asking for anyone who would like to be a speaker to email me. Any CGI topic is reasonable. If anyone has any animations or tutorials they found on the web, please put them on a thumb drive, or arrive early to download it from the web at the office.

Please RSVP me at antoniovp@gmail.com by the 25th so we know how much food to get.

Thier will be a $5 cover charge for food and Drinks.

We had a great meeting.  Ryota showed us how he used Lightwave to do timelapse type effects of a graphitti wall.Also how he  used crack it to create a subway tile scene where nulls, would hit the wall triggering collisions and they would explode out.   Revealing a picture of bricks and undersurface.  REally nice.  For the die hards who stayed until mignight, GMD showed us how he used front projection and simple geometry to create a really nice shot of a rooftop building.Thanks everyone who came, and I hope you liked the Basil on the pizza. Antonio
