The Next Meeting will be on Thursday June 18th 6:30pm at Splashlight.
Hello,
The next meeting will be on June 18th at 6:30pm at Splashlight studios in Manhattan.
This is thanks to Joe and William who also let me know they are very happy to meet
all the New York Lightwave users in our group.
The directions are the same for the Splashlight open house.
Splashlight is located at One Hudson Square, 75 Varick Street
(at the corner of Canal Street), Third Floor, New York City.
There is parking near Splashlight, on N Moore street near Hudson or about that area
near the water. (The alternate side changes there at 6:30pm so your chances are good)
This month's theme is going to be more dp lighting.
There will be an online challenge, so keep a look out for it on the site. We will be using GMD's
DP lighting set that he uploaded for all of us. (Another email will be sent once that's all set up.)
If you would like to upload props etc, just email me for instructions (antoniovp@gmail.com)
Also, Please email me if you would like to show a cool trick or tip you learned in Lightwave.
William will also be giving a demo of something that he's always been interested in.
You'll just have to come by to see what that is.
This meeting is still informal, so bring any works in progress,
and or stuff you would like to talk about.
Please RSVP me at antoniovp@gmail.com by the 15th.
There will be a cover charge of $5 for food and drinks.
Cordially,
Antonio

I found 6 videos that mimic what we saw at the meeting. You can see where this guy deviates from what William showed us.Very similar. Enough to maybe jog your memory of what you saw at the meeting. http://nyclightwave.com/Resources/Tutorials/BoxModelHead Antonio
Hello,We all had a great time at the USer Group meeting this month. William and Antonio (Not me, He likes to be called TONY) gave presentations on Box Modelling and Hypervoxals. THey were excellent. William showed us that spin poly is a great tool, and extender + is great for adding details without adding to much info around a loop. He recommends using move, rotate, stretch right after extender+ (to avoid it getting merged later on if you merge your mesh to get rid of points) The hypervoxal demo was a candle flame. It looked great.Antonio
