Hello,

This is the preliminary post for the Character Challenge. I'm just putting some links and thoughts into this as I gather some resources for everyone.

Animation can sometimes refer to a way of activating a community, i.e.
'animating' the users. This means actions which encourages users to
interact with a given service and is connected to moderation.

Gramps

The Gramps object. Already rigged, uses the ccp lscript, (which I could not find.) And done in 2005 or 6. SO This is the old way.

I think After looking at the ikblender... We should look at that again. It seemed like it was an easy thing to animate.


Anyone have a free ikblender rig.
Looks like the one you see in the youtube animation is  on that link.  version 3.

Here’s a sample scene to download, this uses Goals in a similar way to traditional IK, demonstrating that both systems can be used in harmony with each other.

Load the scene, Hit Ctrl+b, select the node in the center of the
spear and drag on the RGB numeric values beside it to rotate the spear.

Dirk Petri, has sent some sample scenes, showing his workflow with
notes and examples, and kindly allowed them to be shared with everyone.

Gramps rig looks complete but very hard to select anything with out that cck lscript. (i think he's out as a candidate for our challenge. Unless someone figures out how to use him.)

Wow Gleaned some info from the last morph mixer you tube.

If you select more than one bone, and rotate lightwave will rotate each one individually.

Using FX.   Additively.  Fingers will curl ifyou grab all the bones and rotate in a finger setup.  etc.  Nice to know.

Can someone insert the quad rig into an object and get it toWork

I think this is a pretty good rig.
Look at the wolf part of the Sandeep youtube demo.
Looks a lot like the quad rig I found.

Which one ?

The quad rig on the attachment, or this one from proton.

Notice this one has motion builder files.  Nice run cycle for a quad.
How hard would it be to duplicate this on the quad rig? 

Could you duplicate the run cycle on the walkingdog.zip file?

I think this rig will be included in the challenge.  It's not as hard to use as others. (walkingdog.)
