Photometric .ies files from GE

GMD showed us that you can import the .ies files into a lightwave light. 

THe result could be for example a spotlight with a fat oval shape rather than a cone.

There are many real world lights.

How big would a 240 node render farm be? Tesla is a desktop size Supercomputer.

From the article, it's a standard quad core computer, but uses gpu cards in the pci slots.  Each gpu is 240 cores running at 1.3ghz 4gb of ram.  I think from what it sounds like you could just insert as many as you have pci slots.

The big question is......Can you assign lightwave render nodes to these.

MIght be worth the price.

If anyone gets in contact with Nvidia, please ask them if you can use these machines as render nodes?  Imagine, 240 nodes, wow in the size of a desktop.....

Hp how they did it commercial found on you tube.

Nice video showing how they did a commercial for hp. They motion matched the actor's head to a cg body, and then created awhole bunch of bodies for him.

Interesting. The wireframes were great.

"All trees, grass and flowers where HDI with color plugin. I spray points down in modeler in top view on and around terain. I then use KO point fit plugin to rest points onto the landscape. From there I use HDI to generate plants in Layout. I really love this method."...Michael Berg.

NIce to maybe cut and paste a few of these images to make a giant collage and use it as a background image in a space scene.

The Mass Contact module allows attachments, but they never seem to show up in the actual email. I think the author of the module is working on that. Hopefully, I'll be able to do a workaround for images in the mass contact. Hopefully, maybe a newsletter might be in the works if I can get that to work.
